ABOUT MELODY VALBERG

Hi, my name is Melody Valberg, and I recently earned my B.A. in Graphic Design with a minor in Marketing from the University of Tampa. I thrive on working collaboratively and finding innovative solutions to creative challenges.

 

During my time at the University of Tampa, I flexed my creative muscles with projects that were as quirky as they were meaningful. I invented a portion control solution for rice (because carbs deserve structure), designed a card game that educates people on ultra-processed foods (your snack drawer will never look the same), and created a board game that encourages people to ditch judgment and embrace their authentic selves. (Think of it as therapy, but fun.)

 

Outside the classroom, I channel my creative energy into Melody’s Portraits, my small business where I transform photos of people and pets into stunning works of art. Whether it’s digital illustrations, mixed media, or oil-painted portraits, I make sure every project has that “wow, how did she do that?” factor.

 

Oh, and did I mention I’m also a published illustrator? My first children’s book, The Hangry Lady, teaches kids what happens when snack time is skipped. Spoiler alert: It’s not pretty.

 

When I’m not obsessing over the perfect layout, you can find me belting out karaoke tunes, basking in the Florida sunshine at the beach, or dominating the pickleball court.
